Finding Feeds

The three websites: Topix.net, syndic8.com, and technorati.com are great. The sites are all very similiar but have certain things about them that makes them individual. I really liked the photos on technorati.com. I searched on each website for the same topic and each site had a same amount of feeds. I didn't realize there were so many rss feeds in the world!

RSS Feeds

I love the bloglines website. I was not really sure what RSS was before this challenge. As the saying goes "you learn something new everyday." Some of the feeds I added were: the Asbury Park Press, Facebook, Amazon, BlogLines, Google, NHL, The Weather Channel, The Ocean County Library Events, Unshelved, Wikipedia and Stephen Colbert/The Colbert Report. I like RSS feeds because I can pick the ones I want to read when I want to.

OCL Web things

This is our Kids' section of DVDs. Ironically we have more adults check out movies than kids. Since we are in Whiting we have a great number of senior patrons. A lot of the seniors check out Kids' films for their grandchild to watch who are visiting.

Return from Disneyworld

I just came back from Disneyworld and it was awesome! The weather was so warm and perfect. Suprisingly it only rained once the whole time we were there!

7 and 1/2 Habits of Life Long Learning

Number 7 1/2 is my favorite habit. I think playing puts everyone in a better mood. Playing also makes us think of our childhood and I don't know about you but childhood was a bundle of sunshine for me.

I think the hardest habit for me is having confidence in myself. I usually am a very confident person but I get easily frustrated if I am not instantly good at something. A person could do something their whole life like play a certain instrument. I would want to learn it as soon as possible and then get mad that I couldn't play as well as them.
